Quality Standards for the care of our Residents

The commitment of the home to quality care is shown in our policies, guidelines and procedures and the day to day care practices of the care staff.

The beliefs and values of the home include:

  • Putting the customer first
  • Integrity
  • Impartiality and genuine concern for the individual
  • Ensuring that desired outcomes are person centred specific
to the individual needs of the resident.

These values underpin our Aims and Objectives/Mission in everything we do.

Three dimensions of Quality are important to our services:

  • Quality of life:
The benefits experienced by our service users as a result of our input.
  • Quality of Care:
The quality of resources and activities managed in the process of providing person centred care.
  • Quality of management:
The extent to which the activities of managers contribute to the effectiveness and efficient use of resources to ensure best outcomes.

Quality Assurance questionnaires are issued to a number of the residents’ relatives and visiting professionals each month to enable us to assess the quality and individual perceptions of the home and make improvements.
