An evaluation of Kent Wildlife Trust’s Forest School Programme (February – July 2014)
In 2014, Canterbury Christ Church developed an Academic Business Partnership with Kent Wildlife Trust to evaluate their forest school programme. The research focused on the experiences of two cohorts of year one/two primary school children as they engaged with a six week programme of forest school delivered by Kent Wildlife Trust. The research team led by Dr Nicola Kemp was able to develop an evaluative toolkit specifically for the Forest School Programme. It was also able to offer a number of evidence-based recommendations to KWT for developing their Forest School offer with schools.
